Llorenz Sendra
Llorenz Sendra is a visual artist based in Guadalajara, Mexico, who is on the autism spectrum, level 3. His creative journey began with the unwavering support of his family and OTEA Autismo, a civil association dedicated to supporting people with autism and their families. His artistic practice emerged through the imitation of everyday activities—particularly those of his mother, who, through care and dedication, provided him with therapeutic tools for expression and growth. Over time, Llorenz began experimenting with painting, transferring his genuine and intuitive compositions onto canvases of different formats. His approach to abstract art became an ideal language for communicating with the world.
Beyond being a deeply expressive and therapeutic practice, Llorenz’s work seeks to foster inclusive cultural spaces for people with disabilities and promote the universal right of access to culture, embracing diverse psychomotor realities. His practice opens pathways for people on the autism spectrum to be visible, recognized, and able to participate with dignity in cultural life.
Despite his young career, Llorenz has already presented several notable solo exhibitions, including The Colors of Llorenz: A Look Through Autism at the Museo Nacional de las Culturas del Mundo (Mexico, 2024) and Llorenz: His Inner World at Galería L (2024), a key space within Mexico’s contemporary art circuit and The Process is the Soul (USA, 2025), the first solo exhibition by a Mexican artist ever presented in Vail Village, Colorado. He is also the inspiration and driving force behind Proyecto Espectro, a multi-city cultural program dedicated to raising awareness about Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) through art and pedagogy, which has resulted in multiple group exhibitions between 2024 and 2025.
