Espectro
Espectro is a multi-city cultural program that seeks to generate awareness and knowledge about the autism spectrum through art and pedagogy. Its goal is to raise sensitivity among diverse audiences, invite dialogue, and help build more inclusive environments for autistic people and their families.
The program revolves around the work of Llorenz Sendra, an artist on the autism spectrum (level 3), who has found in artistic creation an essential form of expression and communication. Based on his work, each edition brings together guest artists who develop pieces inspired by his story and the experience of autism, creating a collective space for learning and reflection.
The proposal is articulated around two main axes: Despierta, dedicated to pedagogy through workshops and talks with specialists and people on the spectrum, and Sueña, an artistic axis that presents collective exhibitions, artist conversations, and original works that open new paths of representation.
Espectro was created by Banana Contemporary and OTEA Autismo Fundación, combining contemporary art, educational programs, and social impact actions. Its reach expands through cultural spaces, digital platforms, and media that bring the public closer to new ways of understanding and valuing neurodiversity.
In addition, part of the activities includes the sale of artworks and special editions of portable art, with the purpose of raising funds to strengthen initiatives that promote inclusion and empowerment.
Espectro aspires to consolidate itself as an international reference platform that inspires a more informed, empathetic, and creative society.
The program has featured the participation of artists Diego Solano, Colectivo Ákaro, Mariana Dussel, Mario Meneses, Auklerg, Francisco Baca, and Tamara Cruz.
