Sync

SYNC is a project managed by Banana Contemporary that brings together Ximena Corcuera and Llorenz Sendra as members of its core team of Artists in Representation, creating a new kind of collaboration that expands beyond the overlap of fashion and contemporary art to encompass education, social awareness, autism visibility, and neurodivergent rights activism.

Sync is exactly the kind of transdisciplinary project that Banana Contemporary specializes in, one that opens up new paths forward for the fashion and contemporary art industries amidst their ongoing seismic transformations while remaining committed to fostering their artists, methods, aims, aesthetics and ideas.

This project is part of Banana Contemporary’s Artware segment, focused not only on artwear projects like Sync, which specifically conceptualizes fashion as a platform and format for contemporary art, but also broader approaches to combining art, design and bespoke objects that turn contemporary art into all kinds of wearable or portable pieces meant for everyday use but also exhibited and commercialized as unique artworks and limited editions, transforming ordinary gestures into aesthetic experiences that expand traditional ideas of buying and collecting art.
